On Day 1 of the ongoing test between Australia and South Africa at Hobart, the South African pacer Vernon Philander was forced to leave the field after a collision with Steve Smith.
It happened during the second delivery of 13th over of the match, when Philander bowled an in-swinging delivery to Smith, which struck in his pads and while appealing, he collided with Smith.
Meanwhile Smith, took off for a run after getting hit on the pad and only saw Philander right in front of him when it was already too late.
