David Warner is one of the finest fielders in the current Ashes squad of Australia. On Day 2 of the ongoing first Test at Gabba, Warner showed his brilliance on the field by taking a stunning catch at the leg slip to dismiss England’s right-handed batsman Jake Ball.
It happened in Mitchell Starc‘s over, who fired one short ball after the other at the English batsman with an attacking field setting. Jake tried to flick the ball towards the square of the wicket on the leg side but could not time it well.
He fell right into the trap as Warner was fielding in the leg slip area. Warner dived towards his right to complete the catch.
Starc went running towards Warner laughing on his way and wicket-keeper Tim Paine was surprised by Warner’s effort and so was the home crowd who let out a huge cheer for him.
