Ashes and sledging go hand-in-hand. But, as per the new ICC rules coming into play, there are bound to be a few changes.
Umpire Aleem Dar set an example for other international umpires with his ‘cool’ and ‘timely’ interventions between Peter Handscomb and Joe Root on Day 3 of the second Test.
Dar stepped in when Handscomb was walking off the ground after the end of day’s play. Root was having a long conversation with Handscomb and Dar found it a little fishy. The umpire rushed towards the players and moved Root away from the youngster.
Handscomb handled the conversation with Root pretty well, and the Englishman went away after saying a few things.
